"Lonesome"

The apartment echoed when she dropped her keys onto the countertop. The digital clock of her old VCR flashed the time.

Midnight.

Another year had passed. She was older.

Helena peeled off her black trench and slung it over the back of the couch. She sat and kicked her feet up onto the wooden coffee table.

The night held no grudges and never passed judgment. Most disappeared within the night. Most were lonesome in the night. Helena always felt alone, day or night. But when the darkness absorbed her, she couldn’t recognize her solitude.

Five after midnight.

Gotham needed patrolling.

I haven't been home since the end of January, and I can't wait to see my family and my good frineds.

I don't own 'em.

They removed TDK from the presentation schedule. The one time I go, they decided not to show.

I HATE Warner Bros. They do this just to spite me. I swear.

So, I've gotten my friends hooked on ANGEL.

None of them had ever seen it before.

I am so proud. :)

So, the drama department had a Masquerade Ball the past weekend to raise money. When my best friend and I were invited, we jumped at the chance to dress up.

It's no surprise that I *had* to be Ms. Quinn. I was lucky enough to find my friend, Louis, dressed as Mr. J.

Okay. I watched THE DARK KNIGHT trailer for the first time since Heath Ledger passed away.

I've been back to school for about two weeks now. I am prepareding to begin injecting caffeine into my veins because coffee isn't cutting it anymore.

My brother bought me the ANGEL boxset for Christmas. Very, very excited about that. Joss Wheadon even wrote a letter to the ANGEL fans... I was so happy. I also got BATMAN:TAS Vol. 2, which has my favorite episode ("Almost Got 'im") on it. *Jumps up and down*

So. This year... Fic writing? Not so much. Drabble writing. Plenty...

I really need to write this FRANKENTEIN paper and finish DRACULA.

So what has this college student been doing this weekend?

She's been writing fanfiction rather than reading Frankenstien and writing a short story for her creative writing class.

She also hopes to see "Shoot 'em up" tonight because watching Clive Owen saving children and/or shooting people are almost as good as it gets. The only thing better would be another Christian Bale movie, but the Bob Dylan film won't be out until November.

Yep. Glad her priorities are in order.

She is so screwed.

I've basically got a little more than a week before I have to make my 8 hour commute to NY.

Yeah. That's the update. I wish I were writing, but every single time I try to type up something on the PC, I fall asleep. There was a time when all my best writing happened after midnight...

Oh, and I'm running out to see the newst DIE HARD. I know. I'm a geek who still finds Bruce Willis very sexy.
